About Osborne Samuel Gallery
Osborne Samuel Gallery, founded in 2004 through the merger of Berkeley Square Gallery and Samuel & Co., is one of London’s leading specialists in Modern British painting and sculpture. With over 40 years of experience, founders Peter Osborne and Gordon Samuel, alongside Director Tania Sutton, have built a reputation for exceptional exhibitions and scholarly publications.
The gallery is renowned for its expertise in the works of Henry Moore, Lynn Chadwick, and other major post-war sculptors, including Kenneth Armitage, Barbara Hepworth, and Eduardo Paolozzi. Its collection also spans significant British painters such as Frank Auerbach, Leon Kossoff, David Bomberg, and Ivon Hitchens, as well as post-war abstractionists and Neo-Romantic artists.
Osborne Samuel is a leading dealer in rare British 20th-century prints, particularly the linocuts of the Grosvenor School. In 2019, Gordon Samuel curated the largest-ever museum exhibition of British Modernist prints at Dulwich Picture Gallery. The gallery also represents a select group of contemporary artists, including John Blackburn, Brendan Burns, and Sean Henry.
Regularly exhibiting at major international fairs such as TEFAF Maastricht and Frieze Masters, Osborne Samuel works closely with artist estates and continues to present important survey exhibitions on British art. 23 Dering Street
