About Galerie Mendes
In 2007, Philippe Mendes founded Galerie Mendes in Paris, focusing on French, Italian, and Spanish paintings from the 16th to 19th centuries. He also places strong emphasis on Portuguese art, curating several exhibitions dedicated to this field.
Twice a year, the gallery hosts themed exhibitions that reflect his dedication and passion for remarkable artworks. One of these shows is traditionally accompanied by a scholarly catalogue created in collaboration with leading experts and curators. Philippe Mendes also works closely with museums and cultural institutions, contributing to the discovery and recognition of rare and previously unseen pieces.

About FAB Paris
In February 2022, two leading French art fairs – the venerable Biennale, one of the world’s oldest art fairs (formerly known as La Biennale des Antiquaires) and the fast- growing Fine Arts Paris – announced that they had merged to create a new annual flagship event in Paris celebrating art from the Antiquity to present day.
In 2023, Fine Arts Paris & La Biennale becomes FAB PARIS. This 2025 edition FAB Paris is held at the Grand Palais with 100 exhibitors.
